Can I take one hydrocodone acetaminophen 10 325 and one tramadol 50 mg together? One 10 325 does not help much. I do not want to take two 10 325. The pain in my hip and leg is severe. Thank you.

I have try to get information about the Vicodin HP 10/300 but there is none. Have they took it off the market? Can you tell if it's good pain medicine?
By all means take the hydrocodone, but try to avoid taking too much acetaminophen - it is a dangerous drug responsible for almost a hundred times as many deaths annually than hydrocodone, a weak opioid which has no business being combined like that unless the patient has an extremely severe fever. I would personally steer clear of tramadol hydrochloride, which can induce seizures. I am epileptic and anything over 50mg in a day would put me at high risk. This is why most countries now regard it in Law as a Schedule 2 Controlled Drug. If you require opioids then use them in their PURE form - unless the ONLY option is a combo such as Diconal or Wellconal, which contain 10mg of dipipanone, a medium to high potency opioid and cyclizine, an antihistamine much used for travel sickness, but which stops any nausea or excessive itchiness caused by the painkiller. Better is dextromoramide tartrate, now available in only 2/3 countries, under the brand name PALFIUM. It requires no antihistamine and is certainly the drug I would choose as 'rescue' medication when taking my OxyContin, which lasts about HALF as long as the 12 hours claimed on the box and in the PIL, never longer than 7 hrs. Be aware of what the medications and any excipients are and how they affect you.

I so agree with you!! I'm sick of having my pain medicine being messing with by corporate greed and *****s who have more interest in money than helping people!
The FDA is NOT as interested in the public's health as they would have u believe. "They" have made life harder for doctors, nurses, cancer patients & others that really need the drug. I've been in cancer circles for yrs. NOBODY likes them. But they said, "we're sorry" so that made it all better. When pointed out to "them" that ppl were turning to illicit drugs becuz it was similar to drug the doc prescribed & were overdosing & dying. They said, "But they aren't dying of hydrocodone overdoses." Treatment programs should be discussed w/ every patient affected but it is not FDA mandated. Sounds to me this branch of government is more interested in being right than saving lives. The government needs to stay out of the doctor's offices as much as the ins companies do. Use them as a guideline but they aren't looking out for u. Rant over.
Sunshine, you need to be careful taking Tylenol and hydrocodone for extended periods of time. You should check with you doctor about this. I don't know what else you are taking (other than the Tramadol...which is another opioid (why two?) but this will do a number on your liver and your kidneys. Please be careful and ask your doctor. If you think you aren't getting a straight answer, see someone else. This is a dangerous situation you are in and I know this from experience.
My Dr has me taking 10 -325 only twice a day. I also take 50 mg of tramadol 2 times a day. He has added no more than 8 Tylenol ea day. I also take a lot more medication because I have so many things wrong with me. I got scared when I heard you could not take hydracodone with Tylenol. That is why I got on here. I have taken the hydracodone and tramadol for several years. I just recently added the Tylenol for severe pain in my hands. I don't know if this helps or not. Just thought I would let you know.
Hello, Donny! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain.
Have they both been prescribed for you? If so, you should follow the provided usage instructions.
The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
Are you on any other medications?
