Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen 10/325 Allergic Reaction

I have been taking hydrocodone + acetaminophen 10/325 for several months (BEFORE and AFTER spinal surgery three months ago). I now am facing another surgery for a torn rotator cuff; so while my back pain was relieved by the surgery, I'm still on the pain med for a very painful arm and shoulder. I have developed contact dermatitis on my scalp and back and blame the med for causing this side effect. I need to try an alternative pain med. Suggestions?

There are several others you can try, such as Oxycodone with Acetaminophen, or both of them by themselves without the Acetaminophen, you could also try Morphine, Dilaudid, or Opana. I am not your PCP, so I can't say which one might be right for you, but these are some options you can ask about.

The FDA warns that this medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Have you ever experienced other allergies? Are you on any other medications?
