Hydrocodone Ip 110 - Is Pruritis A Side Effect Or Allergic Reaction?

Can Ip 110 hydrocodone cause pruritis? When taking another form of generic hydrocodone, norco, no itching was experienced but it was experienced after taking the first dose of Ip 110.
Is the itching a possible side effect of an allergic reaction to IP 110.
Is it a dangerous reactionY?

Almost everyone I know who has taken Hydrocodone (including myself) has also experienced the side effect of itching.

'Pruritus' is a sensation that causes the desire or reflex to scratch. From my perspective, Hydrocodone magnifies this sensation to a large degree, as "itching" is listed as a common side effect of the drug.

I do however find it odd that you didn't experience this effect on Norco; but it could be that the inactive ingredients within those tablets were different than the ones found in IP 110. Inactive ingredients are actually "active" and do play a role in so far as how efficiently your body absorbs the medication.

For your own records, the inactive ingredients in "IP 110" tablets are:
silicon dioxide
magnesium stearate
microcrystalline cellulose
