Hydrocodone 5 325 For Stomach Pain

Hi, I was prescribed hydrocodone 5-325 for stomach pain, when I was seen in the emergency room for gastritis, but I don't understand why, if one of the side effects is nausea. I also have had problems eating and bleeding from my rectum.

That is a possible side effect, as listed by the FDA, not everyone experiences nausea. It varies from person to person. You may also experience dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth.

I've also had gastritis and was prescribed Oxycodone for awhile, it worked very well to help relieve the pain.

Have you tried taking it, yet?

I currently take the hydrocodone 5/325 for my Crohn's and I am looking for an alternative to this that is not an opioid. Can someone help me? I want to be able to talk to my doctor about a different drug since this has caused an epidemic, not with me, but the country. I just want some relief from pain.
