It might help, but you should only take it if your doctor has instructed you to do so and you should follow their dosing instructions, it's usually taken every 4 to 6 hours, as needed.
The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
You should also be aware that it will not correct whatever problem has caused the toothache, so you should see your dentist as soon as possible for any necessary treatment.
