Hydrocodone 2172 (Page 2)

Hey, i got these pills today from walgreens and i have taken 3 so far and still no affect on my pain. Has anyone else had this same problem because idk of they took most of the hydro out of these new pills but there's definitely something wrong. I will not be getting these from my Dr again.

I do not take pain meds routinely. When it gets to the point where i take the meds, i am in pain! (Kidney stones.) I took the new white pill yesterday – no improvement. A couple of hours later, i took the new pill again – no change. I happened to have a few of the old speckled pills on hand and figured it couldn't make things worse. I had some pain relief within 15 minutes and significant relief within an hour. I plan to return the white ones to the pharmacy to let them know how ineffective they are (not for a refund, simply to make a statement).

Stay away from the "big box" stores for your medication! They get the "bottom of the barrel" (so to speak). I know this from a group that meets every week to discuss the problem we "Chronic Pain Patients" face. Hope this helps. Find a local Mom & Pop store.

Try with Subutex! If Your pain is chronic it will help You a LOT !

I may be mistaken, or maybe Vic's & percs have same alpha/num. Anyway A333 I know as perc. 10/325, mfg.? I find work very well, now A332 are perc.7.5/325, mfg.? I've found A332's work very well, comparable to A333's. Now Vic's, I just changed from 7.5/300 to 10/300 & 325 Same mfg. 10/300-SUCK 10/325 mfg. Tris.- fair. People I'm on here for educational and informational purposes. I need pain meds to function! NOT addicted DEPENDENT!! Make no mistake there are major differences w/ meds ex: 1mg. alprazolam Sandoz-mfg. another mfg. (don't feel like looking up mfg) I keep detailed notes on all my meds. If u need & want to understand these meds, all meds!! Pay attention, keep notes. But gets down to the almighty dollar. Pharm. takes the cheapest, end of story. How often do u see "Watson"? me hardly ever. God forbid name brand! Thus also applies to IV antibiotics. Ex. Zosyn name vs a cocktail of 2 = Not the freaking same, ergo in 16 months 8X, 3 week Iv "zosyn" treatments. Then 3 week oral to follow, levaquin & flagyl, Great! now a recall on levaquin. No Drs had a clue about this??? If ur sick & depend on meds. Educate, notes, observations, comments. Oh it probably won't change anything , except you'll be the wiser. This is in response to the Sept, 15 2016 post by OutlanderSass (and I would like the following information from OutlanderSass): (1) what is the Pharmacy you use; is it a chain, and (2) what insurance company do you use? I would like to have this information because although I was able to get a prescription for Vicodin, and I wished to have the Abbott variety, NEITHER the pharmacy (a big chain) NOR the insurance company would supply or cover it. So I have a useless piece of paper and no pills. Can you help?

it's the walgreens brand, complain & call ur dr & ask for a new prescription because walgreens brand has so many complaints they r no good

Yes. I find myself taking more and still getting practically no pain relief
I am Leary about speaking to my doctor about this due to the controversy being made by F D A. I am 67 yrs old and take these for pain
NOTHING ELSE. What can we do?

I take Norco 10/325 that say Watson 853 on it but Watson is no longer it is Actavis and if you get them at Walgreens this is who they get them from they do not work my dr. even prescribed Morphine Sulf ER 30 mg which Actavic also supplies it to Walgreens and that does not work either I feel like I am taking nothing I am thinking on switching to a different Pharmacy and see how others work if from a different manufacture. So all I can say is try switching to a different Pharmacy to get your pain meds and ask who they get them from

I have been taking Watson 5/325 with the red specs for years due to pain with MS, I go to Walgreens They got a new carrier so they are not getting Watson pills anymore, they do not do the same for my pain and upset my stomach. They also switched my blood pressure pills to a different generic and my blood pressure readings are higher. I called to complain to pharmacist she said they have been slot of complaints I think I will try to find a different pharmacy. I did google the corporate headquarters and sent an email to complain if everyone does this mabe they would go back to Watson as their carrier. Just a suggestion.

I also go to Walgreen's for my prescriptions and Watson is no longer it is now Actavis the pills say Watson on them but since Actavis took over they do not work like they did before I also was given a script for Morphine which Actavis also is the manufacture and I feel like I am taking an asprin it does nothing for me. I am thinking of going to a different Pharmacy for my pills it seems like all Walgreens use the same Manufacture for these pills

Contact your Dr right I was hydrocome 10-325 and now I have i.b.s erosive espogas and and a bad ulcer my doctor did a colonoscopy and endoscopy and now I drink 3 to 4 nutribullets a day don't eat anything greasy or fried look up the I.B.S and your life will change and a lot of stomach med but I don't regret having those tests done

I too have had little to no pain relief from the Actavis hydrocodone 10/325. I have severe osteoarthritis in just about every joint in my body. It should be against the law for this company to sell this and other medications.

What pharmacy did you use to get Vicodin from the mfr. Abbott? My local chain pharmacy claims they cannot order it. Also, it would be very helpful if I could find out the name of the insurance carrier you use, because my prescription for Vicodin was rejected by the insurance company as well. Any ideas?

No I agree it happened to me this week.... and got the 2127 or 2172 whatever one it is and it's not the same as the the 3604 the ones with the pink dots on them .

STAY away from the "big box" stores for your medications. They seem to get the bottom of the barrel. Go somewhere else.

I've spent most of the day researching the same med. I have taken the Watson 3202 longer than I can remember. All of a sudden I was dispensed a plain white rather than speckled tablet with 2172 imprinted on one side. Same story from behind the counter. They changed the formulary but it's the same dosage. When I pushed the issue she got huffy with me. The regular Pharmacist was on vacation. I wouldn't take the meds home. They certainly knew better and told me "you can't just stop taking your medication".

On the Watson 3202 (Speckled) there have been 2 occasions I couldn't remember if I had taken my morning pill. Having taken another dose I certainly knew that I had. (already taken my pill) My Head Was Spinning.

It seems alot of these messages have the same issue. You might as well have taken a vitamin tablet. I'm taking this on as a challenge.
It's so unlike me to argue like this, but, too many of us have Chronic Pain Issues. I personally am in just to much pain to now be pushed around.
