No, the schedule a medication is listed on just designates who can prescribe it, why it can be prescribed, how much can be prescribed, whether or not it can have refills on it and etc. But has nothing to do with its efficacy and potency.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
