If your meds aren't working, talk to the pharmacy first. Ask if they changed manufacturer? Keep a ear out for aurobindo or aurolife.... They seem to be defective....but I won't know till I get independent lab work done. 2nd, call your doc..hell email if you have to, but please! Don't ever go against what's prescribed to you! Its not such a hot idea.
Good luck! :-)
I hope the person that claims he's going to get some of these " bad meds" tested really does do that!! Some people seem to be making light of the FACT that when ur unfortunate enough to get one of these bogus or defective norco products, you're screwed for a whole month, because the pharmacy has no empathy for you ( won't do anything to help you) and feed you this line of crap that it's just a "new generic " & is supposedly the same thing, just different company ( I believe they know full well by the way I was treated) that some of these are defective, & with my own experience , possibly harmful. I do have very real pain issues. My pharmacy refuses to replace them w/ a different generic even if I had to pay for it. And of course I told them I was perfectly willing to return this junk that they gave me, just to prove I'm not trying to get extra meds, but they ( family fare pharmacy) refused to help in any way. It's pretty awful to be treated very poorly when ur already in a lot of pain. I can't stress enough, in my case these defective norco were supposed to be 10-325 just like I had been getting for quite some time, never had a problem until I got these weird looking generics from a Co. Called Aurobindo pharma - made in India ! FYI all I got from this crap was a rather scary migraine headache which lasted for a long time along with queezy stomach. I found that many others had same reaction. And obviously had no real pain meds to help w/ migraine. BTW - no pain relief from this stuff at all. Just more pain. I don't believe some of the shady excuses about " fillers" etc. I can tell there's something very wrong with this stuff. For starters I have made an official complaint to my insurance company/ they paid for this dangerous stuff, & will try to go further, hope others will do same or more. Also this pill is oval shape, w/ UO3 on 1side, score mark on other side, white color. Some other generics are not the same as they were as well. Much less effective than they're supposed to be, w/ medium headache. This whole situation is just not right.
I agree with what post #1 had suggested in regards to contacting the pharmacy as well as your doctor first. There are a number of different manufacturers of this medication, some with better reputations than others. However, because each individual may react differently, there's really no telling ahead of time which brand or generic will suit you best until you try it. So the idea of working closely with your doctor and/or pharmacist to formulate a new prescription from another manufacturer is probably your best bet. I don't like that it has to be a game of trial and error either, but it seems to be only proven way to know for certain what works and what doesn't for you and your body. ~Here's to hoping that the next batch is a better one!
Re: David (# 2)
Hi David.. my Pharmacy recently switched my hydrocodone to a company called aurobindo as well and I can tell you right now the medications are not the same I do not get the same pain relief whatsoever from these pills I don't know why they changed them except that they probably are cheaper for the pharmacy but they certainly are different for me not really sure how to deal with it this is my second bottle I will be talking with my doctor in November God bless
Re: patrick w (# 1)
If u can get the lab work done as u say please let us know. I know that it's defective in some way. I am one of MANY who have had extremely bad headaches from this Aurobindo crap. Nobody can or will do anything to help me get through a MONTH with no pain meds. The pharmacy was rather nasty about it, basically- too bad- of course I offered to give back these defective pills if I could just get some other generic even. No go... just so people know, this was at family fare pharmacy. So I remain in PAIN for at least a month.
