Hydrocodone 10 325 - Works Well For Me - Having Trouble With Doctors Prescribing It Now.

I have been on different dosages of Norco/Vicodin for about 5 years, since I recovered from a serious illness. Over time, my doctors and I have tried an enormous amount of different combinations of drugs to relieve the chronic pain along with the other symptoms. I finally found a combination that works for me, however I'm having difficulty with doctors prescribing the hydrocodone acetaminophen 10-325. Is this because of the rise in illegal sales of the drug? I used to be on 4 a day and now with the Lyrica and low dose Voltaren, 2 a day works excellent. I haven't been this productive, or felt even remotely useful for so long. Are there any substitutes equivalent to the Norco, or even close that doctors aren't so hesitant to prescribe?

With hydrocodone combination meds going to s Schedule II in Oct, it is more difficult to get the meds. Any dr can write a rx for Schedule II's, but many regular drs like GP's and Family Practice often choose not to, especially with new patients. It may take you quite a while to find a dr who is not a pain dr that will write for this med. It also depends on what your diagnostic test results say. You can't tell a dr what to prescribe you. They each have their own way of dealing with new patients. A new dr will also want to get a copy of your medical records from your previous drs.

Thank you for sharing this with me. I am going to mention this at my Dr visit. I'll do a lil research on these. ..I pray these will work effectively for my chronic back pain. In speaking with other folks, tramedol works for some although it had zero effect on my pain. My mind is open and I know there is an answer. I would prefer to just be healed and delivered from this, however, I'm learning so much simply talking, listening, and researching. .. hopefully your info will help me and others. Hello, Sara! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.

Have you tried the shots? They do successfully help many people with chronic pain.

Does anyone else have any ideas that might help?

I have chronic lower back pain. L4, L5, s1, s2.I have been taking 10 325 norco. I recently was referred to a pain management facility and they don't issue prescriptions, only want to give me epidural shots. Is the something like hydrocordone that I could take with about the same pain relief? I have taken 4 advil, with 3 Tylenol, or up to 6 motrin, have tried everything. Even 6 aleve. Nothing gives me pain relief except hydrocordone...I don't know why. What can I take to help me?

Yes, new regulations have been put in place regarding such medications and more go into effect specifically regarding combination Hydrocodone medications at the beginning of next month.

Unfortunately, due to such regulations, there are none that doctors are more free about prescribing. They have to be very cautious, or they risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as fines and jail time.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Have you tried consulting a pain management specialist? That would be the best way to find the help you need.
