I was taking hydrocodon-acetaminophen 10-325's manufacturer mallinkrt which worked effectively. My doctor, against my wishes, switched me to hydrocodon-acetaminophen 5-325's. After 3 days, I experienced hypersensitivity, sleeplessness, extreme anger and became totally out of control. How do I approach my doctor, without offending him, since he is doing my knee replacement, to switch me back to the original script of 10-325's?

The best thing you can do is to be honest with him and tell him of the problems you had. When a dosage is abruptly lowered like that, you experience both withdrawals and rebound effects and he should be aware of that.
