Hi Natalie,
Both Oxycodone and Hydrocodone are narcotic pain relievers that are similar in structure; however, the effects of Oxycodone are reported to be much stronger than Hydrocodone.
One other thing to consider though, is that everyone reacts/responds differently to each medication despite their potency. So in my opinion it's really important to work closely with your doctor upon determining which drug may be best suited for you and your condition - not just based on strength alone, but also personal preference according to how they affect you.
