Hydrochlorothiazide And Leg Pain
UpdatedI have been on this med for BP for over a year and I am experiencing a slow but steady increase of leg pain in my right thigh. It started out as a sort of weakness and now has changed to pain, mostly in the night while trying to sleep. It wakes me with a lot of pain, and at these times, I will call the pain intense. I spoke with my doctor, and they think I have some kind of tendonitis, but I'm not sure I agree. Why wouldn't it be in both thighs?

Hello, Karen! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the leg pain.
There is also a chance that it's muscle cramps due to low potassium. This medication is notorious for leeching potassium from the body and causing people to be deficient in it.
Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration and hypotension.
Do you eat bananas, potatoes or any other potassium rich foods regularly?
