I'm taking exluton pills, naubos ko n po ung 1 pack ng pill pero d p rin po ako ngkakaron, may possibility po b n buntis ako?

@Diane: Hi! 4 months palang since you gave birth...for most women, it will take 6 months after giving birth before sila datnan uli because that's when the uterus involutes or goes back to more or less it's normal pre-pregnant size. Give your body time to adjust. For the mean time, tuloy mo lang taking your pills to help your body go back to it's regular cycle and para di ka agad ma-preggy if maging intimate man kayo ng husband mo. Read mo nalang yung previous thread of messages to know the effects of Exluton in our reproductive system. (Inexplain ko na previously).

Ngtake po misis ko ng exluton last 2days po ng kanyang mens(May 5),naubos nya po 1pack,hindi p din po sya dinadatnan.Last love making po nmin is June 9 (noon time),at night nagtake po sya pregnancy test & the result is negative.Sa tingin nyo po ba mali ung pgtake nya ng pregnancy test?Hindi po kaya sya nabuntis?ok lng po ba magstart na uli sya uminom ng panibagong blister ng pills?ok lng po ba ibang brand ng pills inumin nya kz po hindi available d2 sa middle east ung Exluton?Hope you can help us.Thanks and more power po.

@Eric: Exluton is a brand name. the generic name is Lynestrenol. If you can find an alternative brand jan, as long as it's Lynestrenol then it's okay. There are a lot of contraceptive pills out there that you can try but better consult with your OB there muna to be sure. Kung nagbe-breastfeed pa si Misis then Lynestrenol is a better choice since it will not affect her milk production. Pero kung hindi na siya nagbe-breastfeed then she can try mga estrogen-containing pills. Any type of pill is best taken on the FIRST day of menses, NOT on the last day. And pregnancy test packs will be more accurate after a week or two of missed periods...ibig sabihin, kung nag-make love kayo ni misis at nabuntis siya, hindi pa yan agad madedetect ng pregnancy test after a few days...try again 2-3 weeks after to check. Kung dinatnan sya, that means she's not pregnant and that she can start with a new blister pack (on the 1st day of her menses).

hi doc salamat sa mga advices mo.. ako po first time na nagtake ng excluton and yung pag inom ko po 10pm talaga.. kung nahuhuli po ng mga 30mins. ok lang po? as long as hindi late ng more than 3 hrs? tama po ba? ang effectivity po ba nya nababawasan pag laging nale-late?thank you po.. :)

@Rhizzy: 30 mins is okay...and you're right, not more than 3 hours. Although according to literature ng Lynestrenol, contraceptive protection may be impaired if more than 27 hours have passed between two tablets. If the scheduled tablet to be taken is less than 3 hours late, the missed tablet should be taken as soon as remembered. Ang susunod na tableta ay dapat inumin sa nakagawianng oras ng pag-inom. (which for you is 10pm). If the scheduled tablet to be taken is more than 3 hours late, the same advise should be followed but use a barrier contraceptive method (condom) for the next 7 days. Ang purpose naman talaga ng pag-inom sa saktong oras bawat araw ay para ma-maintain yung certain level ng hormone sa katawan para magawa niya yung trabaho niya (suppression ng ovulation, pagkapal ng cervical mucus, pag-antala ng transport ng ovum sa tubes etc...refer nalang to previous thread of messages). Pag may na-miss kang tablet, bababa yung level ng progestogen hormone sa katawan therefore, magte-take over yung natural hormones mo and pwede ka maging fertile. hence, pwede mabuntis. same is true if irregular yung oras ng pag-take ng pill. magbabago-bago yung level ng hormones so malilito yung katawan. i hope this answered your question. ;)

i tried exluton before. hiyang naman ako. i stopped taking i for some reason. now, i will take again. question, kung 3am ako may stain from urine which an indication na mag-start na mens ko, is it okay to start taking the pill kahit hindi pa clear na mens na nga yun? does it has contraindication if i took the pill with coffee or other drink aside from water?

@Nelle: i know taking the pill at exactly the same time each day sounds super strict but there's no rule that says you have to take it at the very onset of mens (mahirap ata hintayin yung exact moment ng bleeding)...well, point is, as long as you're sure that it's your first day of regular menses, then go ahead and start your new blister pack. (hmn, mahirap ata gumising everyday at 3am just to take your pill...gawin mo ng 7am para sabay sa breakfast and by then sure ka na nga na dinatnan ka.) ;P As to what beverage you should gulp it with, it doesn't really matter (as long as it's non-alcoholic) since some people even prefer swallowing their pill as is (without any form of liquid to help them with). hope this answers your question. :)

(but maybe instead of 3am, gawin mo nang 7am para sabay sa breakfast and at least sure ka na dinatnan ka na nga by then). As to what beverage you should take with your pill, it doesn't really matter as long as it's non-alcoholic. hi po nagtatake poh ako ng exluton naubos ko nah poh ung 1pack nung june 13 hangang ngayun la papoh mens ko..?nag start po ako ulit ng 1pack nung june17..wala pdin mens ko..ptapos na june..so worried poh ako ayaw ko pa ng baby ulit..khit po ba pinapasok ung spermcells ng husband bsta ngtitake ka ng pills dka bbuntis?.. worried kc ako plz rply tenks...

@Michelle: Hi. actually, halos pareho yung situation and question mo kay Jan and Dianne...so yung answer is more or less the same. (Read nalang the previous thread of messages.) Nung naubos mo yung 1 pack of Exluton last June 13, dapat nagstart ka na ng panibagong pack nung June 14...not June 17. Bawat user ng Exluton magkakaiba ang reaction ng katawan sa pill. Yung iba, regular na dinadatnan while others may laktaw na 1-3 months...so I still think that the pill is doing its job kahit di ka pa dinadatnan. {I've explained this na in the previous thread...}. Anyway, since may 4 days interval ka between blister packs (and if may 'contact' kayo ng husband mo during those 4 days) i suggest stop na muna pag take mo ng pill. Do a pregnancy test after 2 weeks and if negative then start a new pack as soon as you get your period. For the time being, use a barrier contraceptive (condom) while you're off the pill.

doc wala po kme contact nung 4 days na yun..kc sbi ng tita ko w8 daw ako ng 3 days b4 i take the next pack..kc bka na delayed lng ako..since wala pa nung ika apat na araw inumpisahan ko na ung isang pack... pag naubos na ba ung 1pack den inum ulit ng bago pack nun?..pero bago ko naubos ung 1pack nung june 13 my konting lumabas na blood sakin kso konti lng..so worried na poh kc bka msundan na ung baby ko e ayaw na poh nmen ng husband ko.. tenks rply poh..

@Michelle: okay, kung walang mintis yung pag-inom mo nung 1st pack of pills mo and la kayong contact ng husband mo during those 4 days na tumigil ka, then there's no reason to worry. Just to be sure, take ka nalang ng pregnancy test. If it turns out negative, then tuloy mo lang yung new pack. Yung bleeding/spotting mo could be your menstruation na. Ang irregularidad sa pagreregla gaya ng spotting, or prolonged na pagreregla for others ay ilan sa mga side effect ng pag-inom ng pill. As i've said earlier, pwedeng iba-iba ang maexperience ng bawat isa saten kasi magkakaiba rin naman tayo ng katawan. Huwag kang matakot kung hindi ka datnan while taking your pill. It just means that the pill is doing it's job. Dapat din, pagkaubos mo ng isang pack, start ka na with a new one, no intervals.

@Rhizzy: Hi! ...you're right, napa-praning ka lang. hehe [joke]. but kidding aside, kung lagi ka nale-late ng 30mins-1hour sa pag-take ng pill then malamang by now, your body has somehow adjusted to the delay. Kumbaga, hindi na 10pm ang scheduled time of intake mo but 10:30-11pm. As long as there's a regularity in your scheduled time of intake (yung pagiging late e regular? why nga ba?) and that hindi umaabot ng lagpas sa 3 hours yung delay, plus everyday ka nagte-take nung pill at the said time (10:30-11pm) then you're still okay.
ask ko lang, since you're aware that you tend to be late in taking your pill, why not reset your scheduled time of intake...maybe better set your alarm at 9pm so you can keep to your 10pm schedule or take it at 11pm na lang everyday if you can't really make it at 10pm...whatever works best for you. ;)

haha! praning na yata talaga ko.
naku tama nga kayo doc..10:30-11pm nga ako nakakainom.. eh kasi po by that time ang baby ko ayaw nang humiwalay saken kaya tuloy nakakalimutan ko.

hi docmom eto nanaman ako. :) me question din po ulit ako.. how about ascof? hehe.. tsaka im taking calcium po kc ok lang po ba yun while taking exluton? it is said po kc sa leaflet na consult daw po for other medications.. i just want to clear lang po about this. kasi minsan sinisipon..hehe. ano po ba yung mga di pwede? at pwede? thank you so much po doc ha! :)
