There are two different versions of Donepezil, so it depends which one you have. There is one that is an orally disintegrating tablet and there is another that is intended to be swallowed just like a normal tablet.
What instructions did your doctor or pharmacy give you?
The orally disintegrating tablet should have something that follows the medication name, such as ODT.
