Hello, Nanc! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had.

Have you tried taking it with food and not on an empty stomach? That can sometimes help stop the nausea, even if it's just a light snack.

The FDA lists the other typical side effects of this medication as possibly including dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to prescribed something to help the nausea.

Docs have no answers for my heaving other than Zofran and quite honestly docs kill mame and destroy daily and then go after your money ruthlessly. I live on shakes so not much food for me and I find whatever I try I still get sick on antibiotics and this one also causes confusion. With 3 fundos and GP and recurrent sibo, my stomach can't handle anything and it never will. Thx for asking. I'm still super sick and heaving and out of control bowels and super dizzy. I've been for over 4 yrs trapped in my body and I lost everything and almost homeless and there r no answers or relief. Thx for asking. I'll continue to pray God if there is one takes me soon as for us severely destroyed gi systems due to disease and medical mishaps, that's best option quite honestly. Laying home on bed and toilet alone heavin poopin extreme issues while u lose it all literally and fuguratively is too much for anyone.

Nan, what is your diagnosis? What's causing all this nausea and vomiting? I also have lots of stomach/GI trouble, give me more info, maybe I can help with a few tricks I use.

I've had 3 Fundoplications gone wrong with Gastroparesis and recurrent sibo. Not many teeth left and very sensitive to all meds. Finally got Zofran. Sometimes works and sometimes not. I have been home and bed bound for 4 yrs and that's not changing. I sip shakes. No bowel or motility control. Everything sets off stomach. My insides r reconstructed and for me destroyed but takin out organ could b worse. Undo of fundo only resulted in stomach back in chest. Amox trk clv is one strong nasty drug but so r others. Docs do not have all the answers nor can they fix everything. Very hard for anyone to really understand the horrific level of a fundo'd paralyzed stomach and vagus nerve and obvious bacteria issues.

My paralyzed fundoplicated infected stomach and med side effects causes my heaving nausea vomit issues. People faint and puke heave vomit with this. Fundoplication ruins lives and kills peeps. Our bodies have failed us. We r called drug seekers, mental and ignored by docs as they just have no answers. Recurrent sibo and vomit side effects is only icing on a bad cake. We with this disease r actually warriors. We lose it all yet still fight. Just the act of wrapping ones stomach around their esophogus with mesh in and of itself causes vomit heave. Abx just tips scales to extreme on weak compromised organs.
