How Strong Is A 30mg Morphine Er

which is stronger morphine er 30 mg. tab. which im on now . was taking oxycodone 30mg did'nt seem to help went back to dr. he prescribed Hydromorphone 8 mg.tab. ohy god they did not seem to help the pain got worse so he put me on morphine sulf er they do not seem to help im thinking of asking for the oxycodone 30mg . back because of the pain and i don't know if that will help please help me to figure out which one is the strongest??

To give you a comparison, Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so for each 30mgs of Oxycodone, you'd need 45mgs of Morphine to be equivalent.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

However, the Hydromorphone was stronger than the Oxycodone, because 8mgs of Hydromorphone is equivalent to 21.33mgs of the Oxycodone.

Dilaudid loses the opiate effect once taken, that's why I understand why they never made it gel up. 2 mgs of dilaudid will put you out.
