How Much Losartan Can You Take

I take 100 mg of Losartan but BP is still 140/100. I did increase to 150mg myself. Is this ok. It has seemed to decrease my BP to 130/ 75.

The maximum daily dosage is 100mgs and you really shouldn't change the dosage yourself.

How long were you taking the 100mg dosage? It can take 3 to 6 weeks for this medication to reach its full efficacy level in your body to see how much it will lower your blood pressure. If you were taking it longer than that, then it may be that it's just not the right medication for you.

Have you consulted your doctor?
