Hi kat,
I find it odd that your Dr. prescribed a medication like Amrix for an undiagnosed problem, because if something's left undiagnosed, how can he/she be sure that Amrix is the appropriate course of action?
At any rate, to answer your question about dosing, the recommended adult dose is listed by the manufacturer as follows:
1 - 2 Amrix (15mg) capsules taken once daily OR 1 Amrix (30mg) capsule taken once daily
NOTE: the manufacturer also advises against using Amrix for any longer than up to 2 - 3 weeks
My opinion based on the information above is that you may want to talk with your Dr. about prescribing the lower 15mg dose of Amrix instead of the 30mg capsules. This way you can at least have more control over how much you take at any given moment and perhaps even reduce the risk of certain side effects upon doing so.
