You should always follow your doctor's dosing instructions.
The FDA warns that per dose in any 8 hour period, you should not exceed 1,000mgs of Acetaminophen and no more than 3,000mgs of it in a 24 hour period. Taking too much of it could result in liver damage, liver failure and overdose toxicity, which may be fatal.
This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.
