Hello. I'm on house arrest and got drug tested via urine for subutex on 8/12/13. My last dose was on 8/4/13. I am wondering if this would still be in my urine 9 days later? Help please!!!

Alot of it depends on the person. Metabolism, overall health, age all play a role as well as what type of test and it sensitivity level but subs typically stay in your system anywhere from 5-10 days. Even small amounts of subs (2mgs = 50 mgs of oxy, so it's actually not that small of a dose) will be in your system for at least 5 days. They have a very long half life. 18 hours, so divide how many mgs you took by 2 every 18 hours until you get to zero and it should give you a rough estimate. When I was in sub maintenance it would still show up in my urine 8 days after my last dose and I was taking 2-4 mgs a day. Hope this helps.

I am on two 8mg's of subutex due to a heavy vicodin addiction. I've only been going for 3 weeks ( Monday is beginning my 3rd week). Last Monday I tested positive for vicodin. Yes, I slipped up. I lost 4 subs. & refusesd to withdraw. I was only on subs a week and a half when I lost them. So now I'm nervous because I'm gonna get tested again Monday & they said if I test positive I will be discharged. My question is. While I have 100% stayed away from vicodin a this hole week & only took the subs. I lost two again! I have been in a fog lately. Anyways I took one 8mg pill today & I have one pill (8mg) left. Can they tell how MUCH subs are in my system. They told me if I have non (which I know I have plenty) that they will think I'm selling them on the streets & discharge me. I have been good but I am very nervous because if they say not enough is in my system I will just go fill a script I have for 120 10mg Vicodin & be done with this hole thing. Sad part is I pay $60 just to pick up the script then pay to fill at pharmacy. Also I paid $299.00 the first time I went. If they discharge me for NOT having enough bupe in my system I'm gonna flip out. Someone talk me down please.

I am in Florida and I am prescribed pain medication. I had access to subutex which helped when the pain was overwhelming. I have to test every time I go in. The test consist of the office quick test, and then the urine is sent to the lab for a better look. I took 1/8 of an 8 mg pill once a day for 3 days right up until 2 days before my visit. My test came back clean on the office results, but when the doc came in he told me that my lab results indicated that I had come back positive for Buprenorphine on the last 2 visits. I now have to go in every two weeks rather than once a month. DEA requirement.

Bupe has a VERY long half life. The exact timeframe differs from person to person and numerous variables will make a difference as well such as metabolism, diet, physical activity etc but on average even small doses will be present anywhere from 5-7 days. You'll be cutting it pretty close. Stay away from it between now and then.

If you've done it every day for 2 weeks it will probably be in your system for 5-7 days. Your metabolism, level of health and activity also play a role but suboxone has a long half life. I've tested positive for it 8 days after my last dose ad I have an active lifestyle and fast metabolism. And that was when I also was taking 2mgs a day. Contrary to what many think, 2mgs of subs is a fairly high dosage of narcotics so it will take some time to completely leave your system.

I did a quarter of subtec last Saturday I have a drug test Thursday is the only time I've done it in 2 months will it still be in my system for a urine test and I'm pregnant does that make a difference

How much did you take? Have you been taking it regularly? And what type of drug test are you having? These questions will help me to answer you. I was in a sub program for 3 years and my sub Dr would test me to make sure I was taking my subs and I've tested positive as much as 8 days after my last dose. Subs have a very long half life and stay in your system much longer than typical pain meds. If it was only 1 small dose you might be ok but if it was a full tab or you've been using it regularly, it will be there for probably 6 days or more. Also, it's not specifically the drug that they test for, but the metabolites that your body creates while metabolizing the drug so chugging water or trying to flush your system won't really help as these metabolites are also in your blood.

I was given a ua just hours after taking it and they told me there was none in my screen..I was then told that you have to do a specific test to detect buprenorphin (subutex)

Most clinics and other places that practice regular urine sample testing usually only look for a positive or negative of basic groupings of ingestibles. I.e.opioids, benzos, etc. Not the specific types I.e. Norco, subutex, etc.

Do they do it different in other states? I'm in new Hampshire. An I been taking subutex but I have a urine test for a job. Could the subutex show up? I keep reading that it will show up as an opiate but then I'm also being told it won't show up a urine test for jobs. Idk wit to trust.

Unless your being tested specifically for sub ozone or subutex, it won't show up at all! It will not show up on a routine drug test. My doc that was giving me subs told me this, and it was proven when I was tested myself. You have nothing to worry about.
