How Long Does Oramorph Take To Work And Does It Even Work

My husband is in constant severe pain due to needing a new knee but he cant have one as he has too many other complications health wise. He's been prescribed oramorph but it's not doing anything, just making him feel sick and have stomach pains.

It should start working withing a few minutes of taking it, it is an extended release form of Morphine.

The NIH warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Is he on any other medications? What other health issues does he have?
