I took 45mg for 5 days in a row. I am a smoker, inactive and slightly overwieght but not fat. Will 4 days be enough for it to leave my system? I am taking no other medications.

I took morphine prescribed to me for two days. They were 30 mg time release. I am slightly over wieght, 23 years old, and am currently quitting cigarettes. I don't drink. How long would it stay in my system? I am trying to get pregnant and am going to discontinue to take my prescription but I need to know when it will be safe to try to get pregnant. Can you help me by answering my questions? How long will it stay in my system?

If that is all you took for 5 days, then yes, it should be out of your system by the time 4 days are up. Most medications do not linger too long and cannot be detected unless someone does a blood, hair or tissue test.

Morphine is, however, a very potent narcotic and should not be used without a doctor's supervision.

It can cause side effects such as nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
