How Long Does Metadone Stay In Fat Cells

I have been takeing a weight lose medacine and i havent takeing methadone in a year and a helf but i tested postive for methadone in a urian test . How long does methadone stay in fat cells???

From what I've been reading Methadone is considered to be very fat soluble, and with chronic use, can remain in your fatty tissue for quite a while.

How long exactly? I don't know, but the time it takes may be substantially different for everyone depending on how much body fat we carry, what our diet is like, our metabolism, how often you used to take the medication, what dosage you took it at, and several other underlying factors.

Were you taking any other types of medications or dietary supplements at the time that could've caused a false reading?

I have had 3 knee replcements because my first dr. screwed up. I am only able to walk today because a doctor named Ira Evans redid them. I am always in pain even though he fixed them as well as it he could. I then went to pain management where they put me on methadone.I fought it at first and she said I could come off at any time. Well I tried going cold turkey and almost killed myself. I have to say that it helps the pain and I take a small dose.5mg.
