How Long Does Lisinopril Take To Work

I take lisinopril once a day at 9am. By mistake, I took it last night at about 1 am. Should I miss taking it for the rest of the day?

I take losartan 50mg at noon, I notice it takes at least 6 hrs. before I get a good reading. If I cut the tablet in half and took both halves, would it maybe kick in a bit faster. Seems to have a coating on the pill.

I'm taking lisinopril 10mg during the day and my readings are perfect, but after 4 or 5 my blood pressure goes up to 150/90 or more, and sometimes at night time as well. That is the time when I'm more in movement because I have 3 children, I get home to cook and have kids ready to sleep. I don’t know what to do because I hate to see my readings high and I have to rest when I have things to do. Do I need a higher dose? Please someone help me.
