From what I could gather, Eddy's estimate was right on spot! It usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes max to start feeling the effects of Xanax. However, timing can also depend on the dose, your tolerance, and how much food you might have in your stomach at the time.
Other benzotype medications such as Klonopin are long acting and can sometimes take up to an hour to notice relief. But if you're taking a lower dose of Xanax (immediate release) with no tolerance, I'd imagine that you'd notice it working within the first 15 minutes or so.
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Xanax Details
I hope this helps!
Quickly, 20 minutes or so!
