How Long Does It Take Sulfamethoxazole To Work C

Can i take Sulfamethoxazole while using Erythromycin for urine infection? Also my Dr put me on Sulfamethoxazole for a month is there a reason why so long?

Has your doctor instructed you to take both?

This combination can cause a prolonged QTc interval of the heart, which may be dangerous for some people.

The FDA lists the other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

I really can't speak as to your doctor's reasoning, if you're getting UTIs regularly, then it may be for prevention.
