How Long Does Doxepin

Is it normal to take dexepin 3 hours before I fill sleepiest .... I am taking 25 mg. and additional half capsule. My Md has also describe SAMe for depression which suppose to take at night as well, Tried doing this for 1 night with 25 mg dexepin and could not sleep. Tried taking the SAMe 400mg doing the day could this be making me very sleepy also taking Enlyte in the morning would appreciate an advice

Drowsiness can be a normal side effect of Doxepin, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes.

If it makes you very sleepy, you might do better taking it at night, before you go to bed. Have you informed your prescribed of the problem you're having?

How are you taking half a capsule? There's no way to get a precise dosage that way, so that could also be contributing to the problem. Did you doctor tell you to do that?
