After taking it all, how long does it stay in the human body (month's, days, weeks) before being excreted? Thank you.

Only about a day, or so. However, side effects, or the effects of an allergic reaction may linger for a week or two.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

I have 9 pills of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium 875/125 mg that were supposed to have been used before 9-8-16. I know they are not as effective, but are there any other side effects? I have a sinus infection and want to take them.

Hi there. I was wondering how long it takes for one dose of amoxicillin to be excreted from your body, as I took just one 500mg dose yesterday; that is to say 24 hours ago? I heard that the half-life was 61.3 min and so that it should be completely out after 8 hours? Is it true?

@Camille, I checked this site's half life calculator for Amoxicillin 500 mg, and it should be down to less than 1% concentration in your body after about 10 hours. You can see this page for a more detailed result:
