How Long Does Amoxicillin Liquid Last When Open
UpdatedCan I use an open liquid amoxicillin for a 2 year old that I got on 11/03/2016? He's been messing with one of his ears.

Hi Sara,
I see you posted this back on December 28th 2016 so you may have already come to a consensus on what to do... But I would say that if it has been left open for nearly two months or longer then that's probably not something I would recommend taking. Liquid solutions in particular I believe are more susceptible to going bad than tablets. Not to mention that any impurities might have made their way into the open bottle during that time period.
I also think the effort to get a fresh antibiotic will ultimately be worth while, to ensure the safety and efficacy of the treatment.
My best wishes to you and your son!
