This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does lose efficacy with time, so if it is expired, it may not work as well as it did, when new, which creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
It would be best to see your dentist for a fresh antibiotic, if one is required and to have the problem that caused the toothache corrected.
