My niece is taking this tab for many years how long she has to continue because if she stops it then she doesn't get her periods regularly

She can take it as long as her doctor deems it safe and appropriate for her to do so.

The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, spotting, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms.

How old is she? Is she on any other medications?
