I agree. I luckily went from methadone to subutex, and it changed my life drastically for the better. All I did was sleep too, and I flipped a car because of my constantly falling asleep, including while driving... and at work, which caused me to lose at least two jobs. Subutex works amazingly to treat my chronic back pain due to a very serious car accident I was in 13 years ago where someone rear ended me going 60 mph. Plus there’s none of the side effects that came with the methadone! I know the original post is a year or so old, but I really hope that you can talk to your doctor OP and get back on subutex. Good luck!
I hate that your docter is switching you to Methadone the withdrawals from that stuff is the worse I would not recommend that to anyone I was on it for 5yrs my life has not been the same I slept all day was hungry all the time could not get out of bed most days to even get my kids to school on time unless I had it I would fall asleep at the wheel of my car sometimes it takes 30days to even start having withdrawals I'm on suboxone now I feel so much better like my self again if you have a problem with and get on Methadone from me to you don't get a high dose try and stay as low as you can this way when it's time to go down you will be good I started at 30mg went to 65mg not nowing that it would be so hard on me I made it down to 27mg then I which to suboxone I'm not sure u the difference between that u and subtex you can Google it to see if you won't but if you take that route I will tell you try and get of the methadone ASAP I hope you see this thank you
Re: Verwon (# 1)
U can take methadone right after. The next day. You won't feel much at first but you can take it.
Hello, Penny! How are you?
Didn't your doctor provide you with details on how to do so?
Generally, it will take a few days for Subutex to process out of your body, so the Methadone can work. Usually, they advise 72 hours, but it can vary from person to person.
The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
