How Far Apart Should Morphine And Alprazolam Be Taken
UpdatedMy doctor prescribed 15mg morphine with me also taking alprazolam..but he wasn't clear on how far apart I should take them..the morphine is every 12hrs and the alprazolam is 2mg at night. But that runs into the morphine schedule so how long do I wait to take my alprazolam. I cannot sleep without my alprazolam!

There is really no specific time frame, but taking them together may cause more side effects, such as dizziness, nausea, and drowsiness, according to FDA reports. It is also reported that they both carry the risk of being habit forming.
If you feel more comfortable and your doctor approves, it should be okay to change the time you are taking one of them.
Are you on any other medications?
