How Early Can You Fill Oxycodone Pills

I have a question I missed my Dr's appointment and made another one unfortunently I am going to be out of my med (oxycodone) So she wrote out a script for 5 days. When I go back to get the rest of the month worth will my insurance cover it? I have mass health. They are cutting me down as I asked them to in hopex to me getting off of them soon,I just didn't know if the insurance would cover two scripts in a month period even though it's only going to be for five days until I can go back to get the rest.

To ensure an accurate answer, it'd probably be best to consult the specific pharmacy location that's filling your prescription.
According to the CDC.gov, state laws surrounding refills may vary. They note that in order "to combat the prescription drug overdose epidemic, many states have enacted laws that set time or dosage limits on the prescribing or dispensing of controlled substances."

With insurance in the picture, I think it's always a good idea to call them first, that way you both are on the same page and there's no surprises if they do or don't cover the cost of your refill... But a pharmacist should even be able to find that out for you as well at the point of sale.
