Today is my second day on Doxycycline and I am currently going back and forth to urinate. And the burning is outrageous.

Hello, Renea! How are you?

The general rule for antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't experience any worsening of your symptoms after taking it for a full 24 hours and you should start to see improvement after being on it for a full 3 days.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

If you still have no improvement after 3 days, you should return to your doctor as you may need to try a different one.

Is there anything else I can help with?
