Just started taking eliquis, Is there a blood test to check and see if the medicine is doing what it is supposed to be doing as far as the right dosage and if the clotting factor working well. Have had a history of Dr's in legs and lungs. Could not get warfarin regulated.

While it is not required as frequently as if you were taking Warfarin, your doctor should still check your INR every few months to keep track of how well it is working for you.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased risk of bleeding.
How are you doing? Has there been any change, or further testing?
