How Do I Get My Prescription Filled ?

I currently live in California but will be going back home to Massachusetts for the xmas holidays I currently take Percocet and my DR wrote me my prescription to get filled while I am away as I get it filled every 30 Days Now I am being told I may not be able to get it filled because it is considered a " out of state script " Can someone please tell me if there is anything I can do before I leave? I have called my Doctor Office and He himself is not sure either ???
If I take the medication every 30 days and will be gone what does someone like myself do if I can't get my refill?

Yes, that is correct, it is very hard to get out of state prescriptions filled.

Do you happen to use a chain pharmacy, such as Walgreens or Rite Aid? If so, you might be able to make arrangements with them to have one of their stores fill it for you, since the legitimacy would already be verified by your regular pharmacy.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Speaking with your pharmacy to see what arrangements can be made is the best advice I can offer.
