How Are Standard Drug Tests Usually Done In A Pain Doctors Office In The State Of Fl?
UpdatedI take a timed released med and have one for breakthrough pain. I have a lot of problems upper and lower back, herniated discs, pinched and damaged nerves (sciatic nerve) very bad, running down my left leg from my lower back on left side. I have scoliosis , arthritis and stenosis in my spine. I have had an unsuccessful surgery on the back on just one problem. The doctor did not shave enough off the vertebrae to relieve the pressure. I also have fibromyalgia. Having surgery made my back worse and now I have nerves tingling and bothering me that didn't before. I don't want to be cut on over and over by doctor's when it doesn't work. I am on Medicaid which makes it hard, because there are not many good surgeons who do accept it. The pain management dr. I have seems to be really a caring doctor, which is very hard to find today ( s genuinely caring dr.). I am trying to manage with pain meds, going to the chiropractor, I get tractioned, use tens unit. I am trying to learn what stretching exercises and things I can do to try to help the problem which is really horrible with my sciatic nerve. I am not at the point yet where I can say I have quality back in my life, but I am trying to find the best answers I can and learn the best I can to help myself. I have so many issues with upper and lower back. I am a 66 year old. It is really a struggle and I am really trying. I am alone now. For years I took care of a sick husband, then a Mom who passed away. I feel kind of lost and I am trying to best learn what I need to do. I enjoyed helping others. Now the person is me. That part is hard when you are used to caring for others and you didn't have time for yourself. My dr. is starting me on a timed released dilaud . I hope it helps. I do take oxycodone 30 mg. for breakthrough pain. I need to feel better and try to look forward to doing things again. Just because we get older, doesn't mean we shouldn't want to learn, grow and still enjoy life and help others if we can. I don't like having to take pain meds. It is not possible not to though, I have too many back issues and a lot of really bad pain. Any suggestions? Pain can really be so disabling and so depressing. You want to do things and then it can be so limiting!!!!!! I always used to be such an active person before.

Why did my rheumatologist in Florida give me a urine screen before giving me a prescription for hydrocodone? They said it was a new law.
