It sounds like you may have a hormonal imbalance.
How long have you gone without taking contraceptives? It can take a few months, after coming off of hormonal contraceptives, for your body to balance your hormones out, again, on its own, as explained by the NIH.
Did you used to have regular periods?
At your age, it's also possible that you're starting perimenopause, when your body tends to slow down and not ovulate every month.
