Help Manage My Pain

I have chronic back pain I broke it in 2006 I have two rods and eight screws I also scratched my spinal cord which causes my legs to tingle so much it hurts and want to cut them off. nothing the doctors have prescribed works. I take hydrocodone that I get off the street that helps but I would prefer to get something that works from a doctor so it is legal. does any one know of a doctor that prescribes pain meds in the Dubuque iowa area

Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist.

Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? If so, that would most likely be the easiest way of finding the help you need.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

THE PAIN CLINIC SAID PHYSICAL THERAPY I WENT BACK TO FAMILY DR SHE SAID IF I NEEDED TO BE ON PAIN MEDS THE PAIN CLINIC WOULD HAVE DONE SO EVEN THOUGHT THE FIRST THING I SIGNED AT PAIN CLINIC IS THAT THEY DO NOT PRESCRIBE NARCOTICS IT IS A PLACE FOR ALTERNATIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT. SO SHE PUT ME ON ANTI INFLAMATORIES AGAIN EVEN THOUGH THEY DONT WORK. I HAVE AN APPT WITH A NEUROLIGIST 6 WEEKS FROM NOW.NO I DO NOT NOW OF A GOOD DR IN THE AREA HOWEVER I KNOW OF A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO GET PRESCRIBED PAIN MEDS THAT DONT NEED THEM THEY SALE THEM. I DONT GET HOW THEY GET THEM AND I NEED THEM AND CANT GET THE DR TO GIVE THEM TO ME
