Heat Effected Adderall

I was diagnosed with adhd about 2 wks ago and perscribed generic adderall 20mg xr. I store my meds in a cubbard above the stove. Last fri I did a self clean on the oven I had never done it before didn't realize how hot it would get. All the meds in the cubbard were extremely hot. Before that the meds worked great I was focused my thoughts were more clear and I was motivated but since then the meds don't seem to be working at all. Could the extreme heat have messed the meds up?

It is doubtful that it would have caused them to degrade so fast that they would no longer be effective. It usually takes a lot of time to do that, not just a few hours or so.

However, you do need to move your medications to a better location. That is not a good place to store them, not just due to the heat, but also due to the steam of cooking, the moisture will also cause them to degrade.
