Heartburn From Fosamax

I have been taking the generic form of fosamax once a week for 3 wks. I have developed intense heartburn and nausea. I was very reluctant to begin this drug and am thinking of stopping. Anyone else have these side effects?

Those can be normal side effects, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience headache, and joint/muscle aches.

Are you on any other medications? Have you been taking it on an empty stomach, or after a meal?

Many people have had to stop taking this medication due to severe side effect issues.
