I have to admit that I don't know. There is a warning not to take it, if you have an artificial valve, but I'm not seeing anything about it with an animal valve.
Did you discuss it with your doctor? Your pharmacist may also know more.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of Xarelto as including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
