If your pills were manufactured by a different company, then you are not affect by the recall, since the information posted above only concerns tablets manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals.

Your tablets may be made by a different company and that is why your pharmacy is not concerned.

This may or may not help you depending on what kind of insurance you have with the new type D on medicare and other insurance company's that people use in addition or exception. There are allot of exceptions of drugs which do the exact same thing as other drugs in the same family so to get the insurance companys to cover the drugs they substitute the different mfgs. for the same drug so it will be covered on your insurance where the other druge which does the same thing is not covered under you insurance carrier. I also take care of my aunt with heart trouble and she takes around 9 pills daily and quite a few of her pills which is thru Blue Cross policy that covers what medicare doesn't which I pay for every month. The only way to get the exact same thing as ordered by the doctor is to buy the brand name which can be ten times as much in some cases especially when you get to different kinds of blood thinners and drugs of that kinds except in some cases it makes some of the drugs at hundreds of dollars per month which depending on your money situation is why they are substituted which was why originally the place on the Rx'x that you receive from the doctors have the place where it says can be sustituted for other drugs containing same incredients in generic form which use to be tollerated in some cases and not in others where these days generic is okay is just about every thing because most doctors telll you they are the exactly same drug or in some cases substitution on another drug which does exactly the same thing but a different drug with different name in generic which will be covered by you insurance at your local store. It can be quite confusing unless you have done allot of homework on each drug you take and what you take it for which I did for my aunt which I am in my fifties and she is 90 and unable to understand all the differences and effects of the different drugs they are takeing and etc. There can be so many drugs and the combination of certain drugs may not bother some people and bothers you. It is a timely and intensly complicated process but is the trouble when you are looking at bottom lines. She was lucky to have the substitute Blue Cross where many as in myself only have the medicare policys which I changed for the HMO types that cover complete doctor bills with no ded. instead of paying 20% on medicare and onlyt $2 for generics instead of the higher priced medicare. There are some sites where you can go and put in the Rxs that you take and will tell you the best co. for yourself, These help tremendously and gives you a great starting place if you start at a begining and work up from there. Maybe this helped you alittle, If I can be of any help, I am disabled and stuck inside all the time which gave myself plenty of time and if I can be of help to anyone else I don't mind helping if you think I can help in any way. May God bless you, Richard
