Look under pain management in wailuku- Jeffery Chester DO- the nurses are very nice & want to send you a long amount of paper work & there may be a deposit. If you are totally honest about yourself & all your meds. He is great !! He will make you take a u/a at a lab & blood work. Get prices. My u/a was 200$ they will let you know if he accepts you. Don't be too pushy & be sure & have your records from your previous Dr. In kahalui is also 20-30 mins from Maui. Dr. Kawai is under pain mgt. He is a true & strict Hawaiian who has no time but to get to your quick point. He is not to happy to give methadone but I took 30 mg. for 6 yrs or when darvocet went off the market. It is the only thing that works & I am not allergic to. He may be difficult but he is cheaper & I like his paper work that you fill out there. Chester will follow what amount your previous Dr. WAs doing but be sure to follow him to the letter & insist nicely what works for you! It took me 5 months to find a Dr. Who is comfortable in prescribing methadone & none in Maui. You can try Mark Lipetz in Maui but he was my mothers Dr. & was extremely rude to me. I like Rainnow pharmacy in Maui because they have mallinckrodt generic - a new one came out called ascend. It is cheap but it is like taking a different drug- dont take it unless you have before & like it- mallinckrodt or ROXANNE is the other that is ok. I'm am telling you this because these dr.s want you to sign a paper that you will only use that pharmacy. Be sure & call the pharmacy & ask 1st. If they won't tell you - tell the nurse & she will probably let you show them the RX your 1st time. Be patient with waiting for the paper work to be sent to you from Chester - let me know if I can help & what happened if you want to- there may be more pain management dr's in both places.
