Half Thryoid Removed On .1 Levothyroxine

Hi, I had half my thyroid removed in July. Had 3 masses that they found to be benign. After surgery doctor put me on .1 Levothyroxine. In my opinion my doctor needs to up it but he wont.. he's done blood work and says it's in normal ranges.. I don't know what to do besides go to someone else. My symptoms: no energy, tired all the time, headaches, hair loss, cold all the time, no will power to do things.. I'm just wanting some opinions on what I should do. Please I want to feel normal again. Thank you.

Hello, Brandi! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry that you're so miserable.

However, some of the symptoms you're experiencing may actually be from the medication. As listed by the FDA, Levothyroxine has been known to cause all of those symptoms and most persist, as long as you are taking it.

It is, however, your option to see another doctor for a second opinion.

Are you currently seeing an endocrinologist or a GP?
