Hair Loss At 31 :(

Oh my goodness...I am a mother of two. 5 and 10 years old. I think stress was the leading cause of my heart acting "crazy". Just general stress. I have had an irregular heartbeat from childhood. Landed in the ER with terrible ekgs. Doctor put me on metoprolol 25 mg. twice daily until I see the heart doc. Before hair was falling out a tad...mind you I am a hairdresser, but this is terrible! Been on metoprolol 1 month and I am going bald in the front, fast. I am 31 years old. :(

You should contact your doctor immediately, this is actually listed a serious side effect of Metoprolol, it is usually signifies more serious ones occurring and you will probably need to be switched to a different medication.

I also had very bad reactions to Metoprolol and had to switch. A similar medication you may want to ask your doctor about is Carvedilol, it treats the same conditions, but it known to cause far fewer side effects.
