Gutclear Syrup is marketed for use in treating constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hepatic encephalopathy and various G.I. disorders.

When used for constipation:
Adults take 15-30 ml/day [10-20 gms/day]
Pediatrics take 250-400 mg/kg/day

When used for hepatic encephalopathy:
500-700 mg/kg daily orally in 3 divided doses at mealtimes [adjust the dose to produce 2 soft stools per day]

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:
- It is recommended that Gutclear Syrup should be taken at bedtime because it requires 6 to 8 hours to work.

- Gutclear Syrup should be taken with at least a 2-hour gap from other medications, as it could interfere with their absorption.
