Stay away from ALL meds made by 'Auro'. They do not work for pain.

See reply number 36. It will explain a lot about Aurolife / Aurobindo products. Another of my posts gives instructions on how to avoid it. You have rights as a patient/consumer. You may have to switch pharmacies, but, it will be worth it.

They are made by Aurobindo/Aurolife Pharma. They do not work as well, if at all, as the same medication from other manufacturers.

I switched pharmacies over this issue. They try to cut their costs, but they lost a good customer because of this.

Bro idk why people say there is naloxn in oxy there cant be because naloxn is a opiate blocker so no all oxy DON'T have naloxn theres a reason why Suboxone has naloxn because people addicted to opiates can take it because it blocks all resepters to the brain so no opiates can grab on the resepters.

Why didnt you file a police report? Usually if you present ylu doc with one stating your meds were stolen they will write you another rx. However, some pm doc dont care if they burnt up in a house fire- the will not write another rx under any circumstances. Now that's morals for you!!

I personally find the M box 15's to be the absolute best for pain control and duration (last beyond 3-4 hours) However, the A214's and k8's are definitely runner up's.

This forum is very upsetting when you have judgmental people calling addicts everything but a child of God! Some act as if they are better than the next person; as if their legitimate pain is any different from another who may have equal or greater pain but somehow began abusing their meds. One must remember that no one wakes up in the morning and says oh I'm going to become an addict today. Most people who are addicted to pills or opiates became addicted after getting legitimate prescriptions at one point or another. Here's an example... Stan has severe back pain and has had several surgeries. He has been on Oxycodone 15s for 2 years.. during that time he has built up a tolerance and now requires an increase in his daily pill dose- his doctor approves this increase from 3 tabs to 5 tabs. Now 2 more years pass, Stan goes to his Pharmacy and now his M box tabs are changed to the U23 tabs (which many have said are much weaker and do nothing for their pain at all). Stan then tries every OTC medication in conjunction with his pills but nothing seems to help alleviate his pain.

He explains this to his doctor and asks for an increase but the doctor will not grant the increase, prescribe a break through medication, nor increase the milligram due to the DEA and govt cracking down and trying to decrease narcotic distribution. With no other option and overwhelming pain Stan then decides to take an extra pill or two a day- for this is the only thing that seems to help with his pain and keep him functional. So now Stan begins running out of his medication early and is forced to obtain medicine through other means since his doctor refuses to help. If he chooses to go without, he will be in excruciating pain, experience withdrawal and be unable to function at all. So Stan who once was a 'by the book' medication taker has now become a pill ABUSER and ADDICT. Those of you who want to blame addicts for the new anti-abuse meds, stricter regulations, and weak formulated pain meds need to point the finger at your government instead. It is the govt that benefits and pockets $$ by approving the distribution and sales of these drugs from shady pharmaceutical companies. But I guess its so much easier to blame addicts (who by the way are ill!) The moral of this story is stop judging people when you don't know their story. Be careful who you call an addict because it's a thin line between use, abuse, and addiction!! And YOU, your mother, son, daughter, or friend can become a 'Stan' tomorrow or next year!! Uplift, communicate and educate..dont judge, ignore, and be ignorant! #WAKEUP

The M box are by far the best of any other formula. Less fillers, burns well, easy to break up and more potent for sure. However, M boxes aren't the best for all medications, just the oxys. I used to get M boxes for my adderall and they were the absolute worst.

Putting naloxone in the oxy formula is absolutely counterproductive and renders the oxy useless. The person you're talking about was probably trying to reference the fact that some oxy/opiates have been reformulated to gel up once broken down to avoid "abuse" and force people to swallow them. That person probably thinks calling the special formula naloxone makes them sound smarter and more credible but it just discredits them entirely because it's not accurate. For the record, obviously there are still ways around the gel BS, people will always find a way to get their high.

They're still IR, you don't know what you're talking about. People like you who act like they know what they're talking about is the reason why there are so many stupid confused people in these forums. Please don't give false information, it takes a really long time to clean up that kind of misinformation mess and it's irritating to keep doing it over abd over and over.

That's weird advice. You can't generalize what serveral different stores are ordering in different locations, that's just ridiculous. The easy solution is to just ask which manufacturer is labeled on the pill before you fill your script there. If its Aurobindo don't fill it there. Qualitest (is scored with "V") works well and the ones scored with "M" in a box are ideal, I'm not sure who the manufacturer is for the M boxes.

Once you've picked up your prescription you can't return it or change it for something else. However, when picking up your script you can look at the bottle or description on the bottle and see which who manufactures the pills before you leave the pharmacy. Once you've signed for the pills and leave with them you're outta luck so it's best to make sure its what you want before you leave.

I suggest next time you see your doctor to tell him/her that you need to switch pharmacies because Rite Aid carries a brand of your medication that does not work for you. Your doctor can't tell you no you're not allowed to do that. Fill out a new pain contract and list a new pharmacy. I went to all of my local pharmacies to see which brand each was ordering so I know where to fill my prescription. I had Walmart listed as my primary pharmacy but they never have it in stock so I switched to Safeway, then I got stuck with the Aurobindo formula so the month after that I switched to CVS who orders "Qualitest" (scored with "V"). I like that brand so now I always fill at CVS. Usually when you pick a primary pharmacy you also choose a secondary pharmacy to fill your prescriptions in the event your primary choice is out of stock. As long as you tell your doctor you're switching everything should be fine.

Please note that the examples of pharmacies I provided are my own experience with my local pharmacies and does not mean all CVS' will order the same as my local CVS. All of the "Aurobindo" pills are garbage, it's possible you're allergic to one of the inactive ingredients in that formula but in my experience Aurobindo is just an awful manufacturer in general. Good luck, I hope this is somewhat helpful.

To those who are saying that oxycodone and naloxone are counterproductive, that may be true. However, we can't ignore the fact that this drug combination does exist under the trade names Targin (made by Mundipharma), Targiniq and Targinact. So before calling others out, you should at least be aware of this - That's all I'm saying...

"The place of oxycodone/naloxone in chronic pain management":

Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

I simply ask my pharmacy which is rite aid to Order from the manufacture actavis pharma the 15 mg mint green oxy with A/214 on it due to experience with others that did not work well for me with controlling my pain. I have been sick for 3 years now, so I don't think they wanna lose me as a costumer considering the crazy amount of medications I'm on, or just are very sweet caring people beacuse they said ok thank you for letting us know that you need that specific type. Without arguing they fill the type that works for me and just incase of any problems coming up my pm doctor also adds it as a note on my script. So if anyone else has had this problem maybe try doing this it made all the difference in helping me.

Ps. Out of all the types of oxy I have tried the u23 were the worst... did absolutely nothing for me.
