All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, however, you would be at far greater risk if you do not take a medication and get your blood sugar under control. Letting it continue unchecked may result in organ damage, which could be fatal.
As listed by the FDA, the typical side effects of this class of medications usually includes nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence and stomach pain.
